47. The Stranglers – London Lady (1977)

And hey, what the hell am I thinking? It’s finals week. You probably don’t want to read anything at all this week! So let me spare you the blahblahblah and focus on throwing some songs your way that you can use to get you through this week and pumped up for London.

All I will say about the next few is that 1976 didn’t just mark the arrival of punk in the UK; it also marked a return to people writing real songs about real people living in cities, instead of all the prog rock and glam rock drivel about half-Elvish princes from Mindenlor exploring the rings of Uranus.
